This morning came full of promise of lots of productive tasks, and has been sadly disappointing due to lack of sources. I had a vivid dream last night in which i lived in a strange moroccan bazaar with velvet curtains and lots of pop art on the walls and i walked around and found tonnes of art work by the other inhabitants (i also had a dream that i had to keep 3 blackbirds alive in a paper bag whilst i escaped a house through the ceiling. but thats another story for another time) and i woke up and bounced out of bed to the internet to google "blind women of world war 2" at 9am. I found a few images of blind women and i did a few drawings, but they looked like zombies with a thirst for flesh rather than desperate old women with a thirst for love, because i had to draw with one of those clicky pencils you get in offices which made me angry. I then went on a quest to find russian gypsy imagery around the house and ended up with a torn out piece of magazine with a tiles floor on. It seems i am not destined to create today, and am instead destined to eat copious amounts of cherry tomatoes and listen to the same Cat Power song on repeat 500 times. ( if your interested it's called He war, from her album You Are Free.) I need some inspiration for when i enter college as a degree student who is expected to be a fabulous student with a brimming bubbling brain full of magnificent ideas for fabric designs. i did find a quote from world war 2 propaganda i liked though- " Victory waits on your fingers. Keep 'em flying Miss USA". I imagined lots of little soldiers running around on a ladies hand with guns.
Oh and i also had a great image in my head of a persons wrist with trees growing out of it and a house on their inner arm with little person stood on their little finger like they are comtemplating jumping, that'd make a nice photo maybe.
