Pull yourself together.

I've been feeling drawn for quite a while. I have no excuses as to why, lack of motivation creeps up on you. It starts off as a bit of laziness, stop caring for meanial tasks such as shaving your legs or dusting your room for a week, then before you know it you have more leg hair than your dad and your room looks like a stage set for The Mummy. I havent lost interest in everything, for instance, astrology, witchcraft ( in particular recipes for spells that were recorded in the 18th century and They Key of Solomon), baking and music. I have been making comprehensive lists of cd's i will buy in the near future, cd's i own, track listings for imaginary compilation albums i could make for each situation( a bathtime compilation, a "it is 9pm, getting dark, i cant think of anything better to do than listen to music and light candles and sit on the floor with a blanket" compilation...) I have also started a rather impressive file of recipes, catagorised into sections so i dont have to flick through the whole file for a certain recipe. Today i made a pizza from scratch, the dough went a bit wrong and stuck to my hands like some sort of endless alien vomit. i couldnt scrape it off, because everytime i did, it stuck to another finger and streched everywhere, i think i used too much water to make the yeast activate or something. Anyway it was prawn and yellow pepper and tomato and mozerella cheese and it looked divine.
Anyway, here is some stuff about the Key of Solomon
The Key of Solomon ( in latin Clavis Salomonis) is a grimoire attributed to King Solomon probably dating to the 145th or 15th century italien renaissance and presenting a typical example of renaissance magic. They Key of Solomon is divided into two books. It describes not the appearance or work of any demon but only the necessary drawings to prepare for each experiment. Unlike later grimoires, such as the Pseudomonarchia Deamonum( 16th century) or the Lemegeton ( 17th century), the Key of Solomon does not mention the signature of the seventy-two spirits constrained by King Solomon in a bronze vessel. As in almost all medieval grimoires, all magical operations areostensibly performed through the power of God, to whom all the invocations are adressed. Before any of these operations ( termed "experiments") are performed, the operator must confess his sins and purge himself of evil, invoking the protection of God. Elaborate preparations must be made and each of the numerous items used in the operators experiments must be constructed of the appropriate materials obtained in the prescribed manner, at the apprpriate astrological time, marked with a specific set of magic symbols and blessed with its own specific words. All substances needed for the magic drawings and amulets are detailed, as well as the means to purify and prepare them. Many of the symbols incorporate the Transitus Fluvii ( the occult alphabet).
According to the mythical history, the document was written by Solomon for his son Roboam, and commanded him to hide the book in his sepulchre upon his death. After many years the book was discovered by a group of Babylonian philosophers repairing Solomon's tomb. None could interpret the text, until one of them, Lohe Grevis, suggested that they should entreat the Lord for understanding. The Angel of the Lord appeared to him and extracted a promise that he would keep the book from the unworthy and wicked, after which he was able to read it plainly. Lohe Grevis then placed a conjuration on the book that the unworthy, unwise or those who did not fear God would not attain the desired effect from any of the workings contained therein.
Book 1: The Key of Solomon Book 1 contains conjurations, invocations and curses to summon and constrain spirits of the dead and demons, forcing them to do the operators will. It also describes how to find lost items, become invisible, gain favour, and love, and so on.
Book 2: Book 2 describes various purifications which the operator ( termed " exorcist") should undergo, how they should clothe themselves, how the magical implements used in their operations should be constructed, and what animal scrifices should be made to the spirits.
My favourite pentacle is the Forth Pentacle of Mercury. It is further proper to acquire the understanding and knowledge of all things created, and to seek out and penetrate into hidden things.
